UNEP’s mission is to provide leadership and encourage partnership in caring for the environment by inspiring, informing, and enabling nations and peoples to improve their quality of life without compromising that of future generations.

Headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, UNEP works through its divisions as well as regional, liaison and out-posted offices and a growing network of collaborating centres of excellence. UNEP works closely with its 193 Member States and representatives from civil society.

The Sustainable Lifestyles and Education team that holds this booth works specifically on enabling sustainable living. The work ranges from shaping aspirations and attitudes, to incentivising through facilitators (e.g. laws, regulations) and ensuring the necessary infrastructures are in place.

Circle Economy

Circle Economy is a non-profit impact organisation focused on doubling global circularity by 2030. Our mission is to empower businesses, cities and nations with data, tools and knowledge to put the circular economy into action.

Since 2019, Circle Economy and the United Nations Environment Programme have been working together to measure employment related to the circular economy in cities around the world. These insights are now available to be explored by cities on https://www.circular-jobs.world/

Ecocity Builders

Ecocity Builders is a 501(c) non profit located in Oakland, California, that provides advocacy, consulting, and education in sustainable city planning with a focus on access by proximity and pedestrian-oriented development. Ecocity Builders also implements urban design projects utilizing a large network of alliances with city governments, businesses and NGOs.

Ecocity World Summit London 2023

The pioneer global conference on sustainable cities, Ecocity World Summit brings together urban stakeholders from across the globe to focus on key actions cities and citizens can take to rebuild our human habitat in balance with living systems.

The hybrid physical-virtual summit will take place 6-8 June 2023, set in the iconic Barbican Centre in the centre of the City of London.
